Dulles Toll Road & Dulles Access Highway—Night time Detours

Beginning on the night of July 22, 2024, and ending on August 3rd, 2024, Lane Construction working inconjunction with the 495 project will close all lanes along the Dulles Toll Road and the Dulles Airport AccessHighway between Hunter Mill Road Bridge to Dolley Madison Blvd Bridge on East and then West bound.Work will be between the hours of 9:30 PM until 5:00 AM. Traffic will be detoured to RT-7 and divertedwith detour signs.Each work area will be outlined in accordance with the approved MOT. Please use extreme caution whentraveling through this area.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (Airports Authority) has been issued a Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) permit for the Dulles Toll Road (DTR) by the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality. The MS4 permit authorizes the discharge of stormwater and authorized non-stormwater discharges from the DTR.
The Dulles Corridor Advisory Committee (DCAC) met as scheduled on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, to receive a Dulles Toll Road update, a report on the All-Electronic Toll Conversion, a closeout report on the Silver Line Metrorail project and a Dulles Corridor financial update.
Toll rates on the Dulles Toll Road are set by the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority, which is responsible for operating, maintaining and improving the toll road. Toll rates may be adjusted by the Airports Authority only after completion of a public rate-setting process during which the Airports Authority conducts one or more public hearings on proposed rate adjustments and obtains comments on the adjustments from the public.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD OPEN FOR PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO MWAA REGULATIONS

The Airports Authority is proposing amendments to the following four sections of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Regulations: Sections 7.5 and 7.6, relating to permits and in-Terminal locations for Demonstrations and distribution of literature; Section 9.11, relating to the use of the Virginia Central Criminal Records Exchange for background checks of Airports Authority employees; and Section 10.2, relating to the enforcement process for collection of unpaid tolls on the Dulles Toll Road.

The Dulles Toll Road will suspend manual toll collecting until further notice beginning Monday, April 6 due to COVID-19; toll booths will be unattended

Scheduled to begin Monday, February 6, 2017, crews will be working along Wiehle Avenue and onto the entrance ramp to Eastbound Dulles Toll Road. Periodic lane closures may be needed.
